orn in the heart of Ireland, Killashandra, County Cavan, Ollie Galligan immigrated to the US in 1996 to pursue a career as a horse trainer. Ollie began his career as an apprentice with National Reining Horse Association trainer Ben Balow in Prescott, AZ. He later furthered his training education and moved to the Bay Area when opportunity presented. In 2000 Ollie moved to Sonoma County, CA to pursue his own business, focusing on training reining and reined cow horses, and their owners.
Galligan Performance Horses now bases its business out of Sonoma Mountain Equestrian Facility located in Petaluma, CA which has
- over 120 stalls/paddocks
- two 250 x 120 ft arenas
- 2 covered arenas and a round pen
- many turn-outs
Whether it is starting a young horse, setting goals for Futurities, youth or non-pro instruction, Galligan Performance Horses strives to meet the customer's needs. Ollie Galligan is a member of the NRHA and also shows AQHA, ApHC and APHA. |
